Americans Supporting Armed Services is sharing some of our memorable moments meeting veterans across the states.
We are honored to be out in communities working with businesses, organizations, and even performers who support us in our mission to give back to those who serve.
Meet Our Board
President: Tamie Sauve
Tamie Sauve President of Americans Supporting Armed Services has an extensive background in upper retail administration, personnel hiring and training, office management, and customer service skills. Sauve has grown to be a resourceful individual, creative problem solver, and successful motivator in building strong team leadership with a business. She is known as an active leader in recruitment of new store setups and grand openings for over twenty years. Sauve has been the recipient of Loss Prevention and Management awards for Stage Store Incorporated. Her years of retail sales and marketing have given her a special insight into the interest of saleable goods to the public forum.
Articles detailing the journey of Sauves efforts supporting the military have been printed in Northern New York publications such as The Massena Observer covering the St. Lawrence River Valley, The Malone Telegram covering Northern New York, and most recently North Country Now. An interview with Fox News was televised locally promoting her first publication
“The View from Inside”.
Chief Operations Officer: Paula Murphy
Paula Murphy’s career spans with extensive experience ranging from over 30 years in the grocery retail field as a Pricing Coordinator in Texas
to 10 years in upper retail management with department store chains at Peter Harris Clothing and Stage Store Incorporated in Northern New York.
Paula was a top leader in the growth and development of staffing and excelled in the areas of store performance and maintaining
financial stability for individual store performance ratings & currently works in a local pharmacy as Patient Advocate.
Along with Murphy’s professional career she was actively involved in raising money for The March of Dimes where she was recognized for her achievements and was also active in raising awareness for Cystic Fibrosis a passion personal to her in honor of her niece Ashley who passed away from CF.
In addition, Paula was on The Board of Directors for the KCHA Hockey League in Abilene, Texas for eight years acting as Secretary and expanding her role over the years to Assistant League Director.
Ms Murphy is married and the mother of two adult children & two grandchildren.
Chief Networking Officer: Michael Fouse
Sergeant First Class Michael D. Fouse is a native of Pittsburgh, PA. He enlisted into the United States Army in November 1992 and attended Basic Training at Fort Benning, GA. He attended Advanced Individual Training at Fort Benning, GA as an 11B (Infantryman). In 1996 He attended the United States Army Special Forces Qualification course (Green Beret) from which he was awarded Honor Graduate.
Sergeant First Class Fouses’ assignments include:
Long Range Recon Patrol (LRSD), 82ND Airborne Division, Fort Bragg North Carolina
1st Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Capmbell
96th Civil Affairs Battalion, Fort Bragg North Carolina
1st Battalion, 1st Special Warfare Training Group, Fort Bragg North Carolina
2nd Battalion and 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Campbell
Michael has served in South and Central America as well as the Middle East and Central Asia as part of nearly 20 overseas deployments and missions. Six of those deployments were combat operations during Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan Oct 2001 to February 2002) in the initial stages of the Mission (Horse Soldiers/12 Strong); Operation Iraqi Freedom (3 tours) and Operation Enduring Freedom (Horn of Africa).
Sergeant First Class Fouse’s military education includes: Airborne School, Infantry Officer’s Basic Course, US Army Ranger Course, Military Freefall Jumpmaster Course, Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape (SERE) Level C, USMC High Risk Personnel Course, Civil Affairs Course, Peacetime Governmental/Hostage Detention Course, US Army Instructor Training Course, Special Forces Qualification Course (18B) and the Arabic Language Course.
Sergeant First Class Fouse’s awards and decorations include:
3 Bronze Star Medals, 3 Meritorious Service Medals, 1 Army Commendation Medal with V device (for valor), 6 Army Commendation Medals, 2 Joint Service Achievement Medals, 2 Army Achievement Medals, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with 1 Bronze Arrowhead device and 2 Bronze Start devices, Iraq Campaign Medal with 3 Bronze Star Devices, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service Medals, Special Forces Tab, Ranger Tab, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Military Freefall Parachutist & Jumpmaster Badges, Parachutist Badge, and the Master Parachutist Badge.
Sergeant First Class Fouse is married to the former Erin Mahoney of Malone, NY, and together they have four daughters: Katelyn (24), Loryn (22), Ashley (21) and Sydnie (19) and one grandson Jabob (1).
